Gal Circle is a Japanese NTV drama that began on April 15th, 2006, airing at 9:00PM. It stars Fujiki Naohito as Shinnosuke, a cowboy from Arizona who is sent to Shibuya to look for a cure for his ill, father-figure friend. Toda Erika plays Saki, a gal who is constantly crossing paths with Shinnosuke. She is part of Angel Hearts, a gal circle led by Remi (Suzuki Emi) that lives for parapara dancing. The series ended June 24th, 2006 after 11 episodes.
The Angel Hearts is the Gal Circle the series revolves around. Its president is Remi, and her assistants are Ran and Rika. Angel Hearts is split up into two different groups, Shirogumi (White Group) and Kurogumi (Black Group). Nagisa is the leader of Kurogumi, while Shiori and Sora lead Shirogumi. It can be noted that only gals with names starting with S and M are in Shirogumi (exception being Ran) and names starting with N and Y are in Kurogumi. The maximum age for an Angel Hearts member is 18, and she is "graduated" out of the circle after turning this age or 19. There is also a "no love" rule, which means none of the gals can be in relationships.
The Clifford Coffee Shop is run by Yanagishita Tetsuo and Emiko. It's a diner where people can pay a small price for a cup of coffee and tunes on a record player, like swing and classical music. The neighborhood alliance is here, and they seem to be the only customers for the most part.
The Drugstore is managed by Aikawa Yuusaku, one of the alliance members. It's just down the street from the coffee shop, and the running gag is that the store displays and shelves are always knocked down.
The official spelling of Gal Circle is "MT[", which when romanized is "gyarusaa". There are several alternate romanizations of this, so it doesn't really matter what you call it. Most frequently it is seen as:
