As said by TFL, "a fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country."
Perfume debuted as a super-indie idol pop group in 2001. In 2002 their first single "OMAJINAI * Perori" was released for their fans in their native Hiroshima. They released one more single before being adopted by producer Nakata Yasutaka (capsule), given a new electronic sound and put on Bee-Hive Records. The girls released three more singles (Sweet Doughnuts, Monochrome Effect, & Vitamin Drop) before making their major debut on the S2 Division label of Tokuma Japan Communications. Nakata still produces them so they have that awesome techno-pop/electronica sound, and the girls went mainstream in a move for a wider fanbase. It's been a win-win situation so far, as the girls have released singles on a steady basis since late 2005, performed several concerts, and released a best album. Hopefully Perfume will rise to the top!
